MEET NASOZI.

Nasozi Kakembo is a designer, author, and arts advocate whose career spans the intersection of the arts and impact. She has over 15 years of experience working for a range of impactful institutions and organizations, such as The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and the U.S. Department of State, where she employed her design skills to communicate the respective missions to target audiences. She is also the founder of xN Studio, a multi-disciplinary design firm founded in 2011 in Brooklyn and Kampala. 

She earned her BA in Art History and Spanish minor from University of Maryland (2005), and later received her MSc in Urban Planning from Columbia University (2008), with a concentration in International Development. 

She has just completed her first book, The African Decor Edit (Abrams 2024), a 256-page collection of African artisan photographs, stories, and thoughtfully-curated interiors spanning the globe. On the following pages, she shares a selected highlight of her design work across different mediums and project-types.
